Career management workshops

The emphasis of these sessions is on career planning and the OPA will lead sessions on creating and developing an Individual Development Plan (IDP) to enhance scholar empowerment in planning and managing individual careers. The IDP is an essential empowerment resource that has been demonstrated to significantly improve the productivity and success of postdoctoral trainees. Additionally, options in career paths for postdoctoral fellows will be discussed.

These sessions were piloted in 2008 as a monthly workshop, alternating between the Chicago and Evanston campuses.  The event in 2009 will be a quarterly event, again alternating between the two campus locations.   Announcements will be made via the OPA-members listserv that you are encouraged to sign up for by following the link.A RSVP tool will soon be available here.
