Ready, Set, Go – A Summer STEM Communication Fellowship Program
Northwestern’s graduate programs stand on the forefront of their respective research fields. With so much groundbreaking research taking place here at Northwestern, it is increasingly important to convey the results of that research clearly and concisely to a broad variety of audiences--from expert to general.
TGS announces a new opportunity for PhD candidates in STEM disciplines. Ready, Set, Go is an intensive summer workshop designed to improve the oral communication and presentation skills of graduate students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Get Ready: Build stage confidence through improv and theater.
Get Set: Learn to customize your research story for any audience.
Go: Showcase your skills in an interdisciplinary colloquium.
There will be an open lunchtime lecture series featuring three keynote speakers on topics of communicating in scientific and research fields. Additionally, program fellows will meet Wednesday evenings from July 11th – August 29th to practice and reinforce topics discussed in the keynote presentations.Graduate students from any discipline are welcome to apply.
