Program Description
The focus of the Department of Psychology is mainly on training students for conducting research in one of five fields: cognitive psychology, clinical psychology, personality, psychobiology, and social psychology. In addition to completing the courses and examinations required by the specialized field, a candidate for the doctorate is expected to show unusual ability to proceed independently in scholarly research. Each student is required to show satisfactory performance in teaching responsibilities assigned by the department.
