ART 310 Digital Art (1): The studio production of web-based and/or computer interactive art.

ART 322-1,2 Advanced Painting (1)(1): Painting in optional media.

ART 325-1,2 Advanced Drawing (1)(1): Various aims and methods of drawing used in the past and present.

ART 340 Installation Art (1): Exploration of installation art in all media, including video, painting and sculpture.

ART 372 Contemporary Art Criticism (1): A theoretical and visual background for major ideas influencing contemporary art criticism, focusing on writing about current exhibitions and interviewing practicing artists.

ART 390 Special Topics in Art (1): Studio course or seminar for advanced students; topics vary and may be based around particular media or current issues.

ART 422-1,2 Studio Art (1)(1): Advanced studio course for MFA candidates.

ART 423 Studies in Criticism and Artistic Concepts (1): Seminar on modes of presentation and concepts in contemporary art.

ART 423-0 Thesis Practicum (1): Writing workshop intended to assist graduate students in the completion of the written component of their theses. Through readings and exercises, a wide range of approaches that artists might use to write about their work will be explored. Prerequisites: Graduate standing in the Department of Art Theory and Practice.

ART 425 Special Problems in Art (1): Seminar on varying topics. May be repeated for credit with change of topic.

ART 427 Seminar in Professional Practices (1): Study of practical methods of career development.

ART 499 Independent Study (1-2): Course may be repeated, up to a maximum of six credits. Permission of instructor and department required.
