Programs  
 
The Judd A. and Marjorie Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences (WCAS) is organized into 25 departments and more than a dozen interdisciplinary programs. The Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences faculty offer more than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate courses each year as well as tutorials, internships, laboratory rotations, and other individualized forms of instruction. Graduate degrees are awarded in nearly all Weinberg College departments and in several interdepartmental programs.

General Curriculum

WCAS offers certain graduate-level courses in the Humanities that are outside of any particular program or department. Students are encouraged to discuss these courses with their advisor to determine if they suitably complement the program-specific course of study.

HUM 395 Humanities Seminar (1)
An interdisciplinary course addressing a significant topic in the humanities from a variety of perspectives, including discussion meetings with eminent scholars from outside Northwestern.

HUM 410-1, 2, 3 Information Technology and Scholarship in the Humanities (1)
Seminar gives first- and second-year doctoral students in the humanities an overview of technological changes in the areas of bibliographical control, data presentation, and data analysis. One credit for successful completion of sequence.
