Program Description
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering was founded as the first such department dedicated to principles spanning all classes of materials. The department offers graduate work leading to the MS and PhD degrees in diverse areas of materials science dealing with metals, ceramics, polymers, electronic materials, biomaterials, surface science, and nanostructured materials.
