Program Description

The PhD program of the Department of Accounting Information and Management is designed to produce accounting scholars who are employed in the world's leading business schools. The department's faculty consists of some of the most prominent researchers and teachers in accounting. The faculty's teaching and research interests range widely, and include the study of cost allocations, financial statement analysis, the use of accounting data in performance evaluation of both individuals and firms, the accounting standard-setting process, the information content of earnings and earnings forecasts, accounting for complex financial instruments, and more.

Methodologically, the primary strengths of the faculty are in analytical modeling of accounting problems and empirical research using financial accounting data.
