Program Description

The United States faces significant challenges in the translation of basic biomedical research into practice as well as substantive redesign of the healthcare delivery system to achieve cost-effective, high quality, and safe healthcare.

The two-year, part-time, Master of Science degree program will offer a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary training of both medical doctors and pre and post doctoral diplomates to fulfill the need in the important field of health services and outcomes research. The program includes courses in:

  • Ethical Issues in Health Services Research
  • Disparities in Healthcare
  • Health Economics and Healthcare Financing
  • Health Services Research Methods and Analysis
  • Writing and Peer Review for Publication
  • Biostatistics and Epidemiology
