Coursework Requirements

Coursework requirements vary and are individually designed for the different areas of study within the department. Students working toward the PhD who begin graduate work with the bachelor's degree typically require about two years to complete the MA degree with three additional years to complete the PhD. Students who begin with the master's degree from another institution typically require four years to complete the PhD.
