The Graduate School offers programs based in six of Northwestern University's schools, as well as interdisciplinary programs that cross school boundaries. For descriptions of programs housed within these schools as well as for additional course and/or degree requirements specific to these schools, click on the school names, listed below or on the left.
In addition to graduate programs in traditional academic disciplines, The Graduate School offers advanced study in many areas that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. Admission and degree requirements listed for these programs supplement The Graduate School's general requirements. While some of these programs admit applicants directly, or in conjunction with another school at Northwestern University, other programs are areas of specialization or offer certificates for students admitted to a primary discipline. Please explore the academic program pages of The Graduate School website to learn more about the full range of interdisciplinary offerings at Northwestern.
