The Policy Guide of The Graduate School is the "rules of the road" for graduate study at Northwestern University. Although much of what is included in this document is included in other pages of this web site, you will find here, in printable PDF format, the foundational information a student needs to know. For many years, The Graduate School printed The Graduate School Bulletin, a document that was revised every third year and made available to all faculty, students, and staff. A decision was made in 2004 to move from the all-inclusive Bulletin to the present Policy Guide, a document we believe that, taken with our dynamic web site, provides our constituents with a comprehensive picture of what TGS does and how we do it.
