The Graduate School maintains offices and administers classes on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses of Northwestern University, both located along the shore of Lake Michigan. The Chicago campus is located in the Streeterville neighborhood, just east of the Michigan Avenue shopping district, north of the downtown “loop,”and adjacent to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which shares faculty with many of the life science and medical education courses offered on that campus. The majority of The Graduate School's courses are offered on the Evanston campus, just north of Chicago. Both campuses have excellent access to public transportation, enabling students to take advantage of the metropolitan area's rich academic and cultural resources. For interactive maps and travel instructions, please see the Northwestern University main site at www.northwestern.edu/campus. The principal office of The Graduate School is located on the Evanston campus in Rebecca Crown Center, 633 Clark Street; a second office is maintained on the Chicago campus in Abbott Hall, Room 1010, 710 N. Lake Shore Drive.
