Science Careers: Student Performance Measures Don't Perform

Two research studies published recently in PLoS One by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, find that neither GRE scores nor GPA are positively correlated with the number of first-author papers a biological/biomedical doctoral student publishes, or his/her progress through the PhD training program.
