Patient Support Services Program

Modified: February 3, 2017

One of the challenges many students encounter while attending Northwestern is learning how to access and use healthcare services and the overall healthcare system effectively.  Gathering essential knowledge and navigating decisions about the many aspects of healthcare can be complex, overwhelming and confusing at times. As a response to this need, this is the first year of the Patient Support Services program offered by the Health Service, which provides a Patient Advocacy Coordinator on the Evanston and Chicago campuses. Patient Support Services provides the opportunity for a student to schedule a one-on-one personal consultation with the Patient Advocacy Coordinator who can address a student’s questions and concerns about many of the processes that typically occur outside of the exam room after a patient visit with a healthcare provider.

For students on the Evanston Campus, please connect with Adebola Adeniyi and Chicago Campus students may connect with Wendy Weaver.
