NSF Releases Data Tables on Doctorate Recipients

The National Science Foundation (NSF) December 6 released Doctorate Recipients from U.S. Universities: 2015. The release includes data tables generated from the Survey of Earned Doctorates data, the annual census of individuals who receive research doctoral degrees from accredited U.S. academic institutions. The number of doctorate degrees awarded rose by 1.9 percent in 2015, whereas the number awarded in biological and biomedical sciences decreased by 0.7 percent.
