Navigating Scholarship, Teaching, and Life: A Lunch Chat with Professor Julie Artis

Join Lesley Lundeen, Family Resource Liason, and Julie Artis, PhD, Associate Professsor of Sociology at Depaul University, for an informal lunch discussion on May 16.  

Julie Artis is Associate Professor of Sociology at DePaul University. Her work has been published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, Law & Social Inquiry, Law and Society Review, Journal of Gerontology (Social Sciences), Journal of Health and Social Behavior, and Contexts, as well as edited books.

Professor Artis will discuss her work on parenting, family and the law; her experience as a scholar and mother of two; and her role as a Faculty Success Coach specializing in work/life issues for the National Center for Faculty Diversity and Development (Links to an external site.). 

The event will take place in the TGS Commons. TGS Chicago students will be able to attend via simulcast from the TGS Abbott Hall conference room. Lunch will be provided.
