The Confucius China Studies Program

The Confucius China Studies Program offers generous funding to doctoral students focusing on China. The Research Ph.D. Fellowship ranges from six months to two years and provides funding to U.S.-based students who wish to pursue doctoral research in China. The Ph.D. in China Fellowship ranges from three to four years and provides funding to students that have completed their masters degrees and wish to pursue their Ph.D. in China.

The application deadline for both fellowships is February 15th 2016. Eligible applicants must have completed their master’s degree by the start of the fellowship and should be interested in pursuing their doctoral degree in China in the arts, education, humanities, and social sciences with a focus on China. They cannot hold a passport from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan and cannot be recipients of other Chinese government scholarship funding.
