Programs at the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching

Applications are now open for the following programs at the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching.
 
NTAC Workshop Leader
Outstanding TAs in the second year of their program or beyond have the opportunity to develop and lead workshops for fellow graduate students at the New TA Conference (NTAC) on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Selected Workshop Leaders attend two pedagogical training sessions (August 9 & 11) and two feedback sessions (August 23 & 26) to develop two interactive workshops for NTAC: one for new TAs in their discipline and another team-taught workshop focused on a cross-disciplinary topic.

Graduate Teaching Fellows
The Graduate Teaching Fellows (GTF) are a select group of advanced graduate students with a demonstrated commitment to student learning in their discipline. The GTF program allows candidates to develop their teaching and professional skills while contributing to the pedagogical development of other graduate students. Fellows are appointed for a full academic year, with the possibility of reappointment for a second year. The position carries a $3,000 stipend.
