Postdoctoral Position in Biochemical Parasitology

The Department Immunology/Microbiology at Rush University Medical Center seeks a qualified individual for a newly available Postdoctoral Fellow position in the laboratory of Dr. David L. Williams.
 
A postdoctoral position is available to do studies on the unique cytochrome P450 of Schistosoma mansoni using a variety of biochemical, cellular, and metabolomic approaches. They have recently established that the CYP450 is an essential protein and druggable target (Ziniel et al. PLoS NTDS 2015). Experience with cell culture, protein biochemistry, and animal use is required. Experience with microscopy and metabolomic analyses is helpful, but not necessary. This position is a one year appointment, with the possibility of a second year extension. This position has a competitive yearly salary based on NRSA Stipend Levels. Preferred applicants should either be permanent residents of the US, or be otherwise eligible to work in the United States on the 15 June 2016 for at least one year.
