Northwestern's Off-Campus Life office snow emergency reminder

Modified: January 29, 2016

Since we have now entered the winter months, the Off-Campus Life office just wants to remind everyone about the City’s approach to snow conditions. Sign up to get notified via text message - Evanston, or notified via text message – Chicago, of a snow emergency or parking ban.

Snow parking regulations are in effect in Evanston from Dec. 1 to March 31. Do not park on Snow Routes at night or after an accumulation of 2 inches of snow. Do not park on Snow Emergency Routes on nights when snow is predicted. If it snows while you are sleeping, you could find your vehicle towed away by the City along with a $50+ fine for Towing & Storage per night.

During a snow emergency, park on the proper side of residential streets between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information about snow parking regulations, visit the Evanston City Website or the Chicago City website.

Northwestern’s Off-Campus Life office is to serve as the first point of contact for students moving and living off-campus. Contact Off-Campus Life via email or 847-491-8430.
