Northwestern Science & Engineering Shadow Day 2016

Modified: July 12, 2016

As part of President Schapiro’s Good Neighbor, Great University Initiative, there are several Shadow Days for students from Evanston Township High School. Boys and girls from all grades are invited to attend shadow days in three different subjects during the month of July.

In order to make these days a success, they are in need of Graduate Students volunteers!

When:

  • Science Day - Monday, July 18th, 2016.
  • Engineering Day - Wednesday, July 20th, 2016
  • Technology Day - Monday, July 25th, 2016

Time:

  • 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • You can commit to just a half day, if you would like, or share with someone else in your lab/department.
  • Also by ‘lab’ they mean research of any kind – computational work is just fine to share!

Who:

  • Each Northwestern student will be paired with 1-2 Evanston Township High School student(s).

What:

  • Let your student(s) shadow and work alongside you for the day. Free lunch provided for you both!

Why:

  • These are High School students who are interested in potentially pursuing degrees in Science and Engineering. They are itching for exposure to STEM fields - to come visit REAL scientists and engineers at Northwestern.

How:
