Northwestern Career Services Offers Resources for Students

Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA) offers advising, counseling, and other resources to support Northwestern graduate students’ career aspirations. Typical appointments cover topics including:

  • Job search strategies for academia, nonprofits, government, and industry
  • Creating application documents including CVs, resumes, cover letters, and teaching statements
  • Exploring careers
  • Interview preparation
  • Networking

Students can sign up for an appointment via CareerCat. Chicago campus advising hours are on Fridays. NCA also offers Express Advising (no appointment necessary), M – F, 2:00pm – 4:00pm in the Main Library, 2 North Core.
