INVO Seminar on Million Dollar Reagents

Modified: October 4, 2016

Has your lab created a research reagent such as an antibody, cell line, or imaging reagent? Do you wonder how this reagent could be made available to others?

Many research reagents found in catalogues often come from university research labs! Learn how these reagents become available to the wider scientific community through the licensing process. Dr Jamie Hoberg will present on this process and share success stories of popular reagents. Dr. Hoberg is currently Head of Licensing and External Innovation at MilliporeSigma, responsible for identifying and licensing new technologies in the life sciences area. Previously, Jamie was a Business Development Associate at the Harvard Office of Technology Development. In this role Jamie worked with university faculty in commercializing their inventions. Jamie also had a brief stint at Quest Diagnostics in their Athena Division as a Business Development Director. Jamie has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia. There will be time for Q and A after the talk and refreshments will be served.
