Graduate Engagement Opportunities

Want to apply your research to real-world problems? Develop a community partnership? Gain new professional skills? Learn more about public scholarship? Applications are now available for Graduate Engagement Opportunities (GEO) – offered Spring 2017.

GEO is quarter-long program for graduate students that combines a community-based practicum with a credit-bearing seminar. Participate in GEO to:

  • Develop or apply your research in real-world contexts
  • Gain skills for academic and non-academic jobs
  • Explore civic engagement with faculty and grad students across disciplines

To learn more about the program and to apply, visit their website. For more information, contact Ruth Martin Curry

"Participating in GEO allowed me to explore the intersections between my scholarship and my passion for civic and social issues. GEO has been one of the most foundational components of my graduate education thus far." -GEO alum
