GEO is quarter-long program for graduate students that combines a community-based practicum with a credit-bearing seminar. Participate in GEO to:

  • Develop or apply your research in real-world contexts
  • Gain skills for academic and non-academic jobs
  • Explore civic engagement with faculty and grad students across disciplines

Drop by the Center for Civic Engagement (1813 Hinman Ave) on Wednesday, November 30 from 9 AM -12 PM to talk about possible placements, funding, and professional development. Or make an appointment by contacting Ruth Martin Curry

"Participating in GEO allowed me to explore the intersections between my scholarship and my passion for civic and social issues. GEO has been one of the most foundational components of my graduate education thus far." -GEO alum
