January workshop dates: January 8, 15, 29
January "Third Thursday" Show: January 22 (FREE FOOD)

SPG Improv is the only improvisational theatre group in The Graduate School (TGS). SPG Improv is dedicated to learning, teaching, and performing improv in the Northwestern and broader Chicago communities. Our members have guided workshops for graduate students from varying disciplines, such as mathematics, material science, chemistry, applied physics, music, theater, and anthropology.

SPG Improv holds weekly improvisation workshops on Thursdays from 5:15-6:15 pm in Seabury Graduate Student Commons (140). At these workshops, our troupe guides students through the principles of theatrical improvisation through a variety of games and scene work. Our troupe also puts on a monthly “Third Thursday” Show at 6 pm in Seabury's Great Room, where SPG provides entertainment and food.
