Northwestern's Off-Campus Life Office (OCL)

Modified: October 2, 2015
Off Campus Life Office

The mission of the Off-Campus Life (OCL) office is to serve as the first point of contact for students moving and living off-campus. The student learning objectives for OCL are:

  • Students who engage in programs, activities, and services provided by OCL will become competent in negotiating common issues surrounding successful off-campus living.
  • Students who engage in programs, activities, and services provided by OCL will be able to identify where, and how, to utilize informational resources and other services provided by Northwestern and their city-communities.

The OCL website offers a wealth of information on tenant rights and responsibilities, as well as several “How-To” guides that address topics such as moving in, being a good neighbor, and subletting. The website also contains resources for locating and securing off-campus housing.

If you have any questions about off-campus life, or would like more information, or are not currently on the Off-Campus listserv, make your request (using your Northwestern email address) to:  offcampuslife@northwestern.edu, or call 847-491-8430.

Please “like” the NU Off-Campus Life Facebook Page to receive updates on free and fun events happening in the City of Evanston and beyond.
