What forms and modes of address can public humanities take? Is the performance of scholarship before the public a valid and robust form of civic engagement? The second meeting of the NU Public Humanities Colloquium will discuss the role of dissemination and exchange in the public humanities and talk with Ian Blechschmidt, Ph.D candidate in Rhetoric and Public Culture, about his experience as Programming Fellow for the Chicago Humanities Festival.
