GEO Community Practicum Information Session

Modified: October 30, 2015

Graduate Engagement Opportunities (GEO) encourages grad students to connect theory and practice through a quarter-long internship with a community organization and a graduate seminar on engaged scholarship. Students spend 10 weeks working at a community organization, where they can bring their expertise on important community issues and serve as leaders in public policy and public service.

The Center for Civic Engagement will host two informational sessions to answer questions about the GEO community practicum, a quarter-long internship and community partnership program for doctoral students in all fields. Information for each session is listed below.

November 3 at 12 pm in Seabury Room 260 (2122 Sheridan Rd, Evanston)
November 4 at 4 pm at the Center for Civic Engagement (1813 Hinman)

TGS-funded students can use one quarter of fellowship funding to participate in this program. In some cases, participation may replace teaching and/or research assistantship duties. For full consideration, apply by Wednesday, November 25. Late applications will be considered if space permits. Applications and additional information are available on the GEO website. For any questions, contact Heidi Gross.
