Center for Leadership Fellowship for TGS Ph.D. Candidates

Modified: April 13, 2015

The Center for Leadership at Northwestern University is accepting applications for next year’s Fellowship in Leadership. This Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for Ph.D. candidates who will be in their third year or beyond to develop their abilities as leaders and leadership coaches. Fellows come from across the University.  Your interest in the study and practice of leadership and developing leadership in others is what matters.  You do not need to have a direct link between your field of study and leadership.

Past Fellows praise the program as being transformational and a highlight of their Northwestern experience.  On completion of the program, participants are designated as a Northwestern University Leadership Fellow.

They anticipate offering six partial Fellowships (average 5 hours/week) with a $3,000 academic year stipendFellows work collaboratively with program faculty in an environment that fosters deep learning through experimentation, risk taking, academic inquiry, and real-world problem solving.  Fellowship seminars are held throughout the academic year. In the fall, Fellows serve as advisors, discussion leaders and teaching assistants in the “Paradigms & Strategies of Leadership” course. In the winter and spring, Fellows commit to individual leadership coaching.
