TGS Suspends Dissertation Embargo Policy

Last year, The Graduate School introduced a policy on embargoes intended to balance graduate students' ability to protect their work and the responsibility of institutions to share new knowledge. A dissertation embargo allows a student to delay public release of his or her dissertation via ProQuest's digital platform for a specified period of time in light of valid concerns about the protection of intellectual property.

Revised information about Health Insurance for 2015-16

Northwestern University requires all students maintain health insurance while registered at the University. During the time you are registered at the University, you are required to enroll in the Aetna/Northwestern plan. You may waive enrollment by providing evidence that you have health insurance coverage that is comparable for the entire period of registration. International students holding a F1 or J1 visa may not waive the Aetna/Northwestern plan.
