Northwestern Swing Dance Syndicate's Welcome Dance

Modified: September 17, 2014

The Prohibition Orchestra of Chicago is a 10-piece band dedicated to performing the music of the early big band era. Here, at Northwestern's Louis ballroom, seven horns, drums, piano and a banjo will give dancers and listeners the chance to experience a 1920s orchestra just as it was heard back in the day. Check out them out here, and then again on Saturday, Oct 11! Beginner Swing Dance Lesson: 7:30 – 8:00 PM.  Live Music & Dancing: 8:00 – 11:00 PM. Louis Room, Norris. $5 students/$7 others. No experience/partner required. Come find them on the dance floor. Find more info on Facebook and Plan it Purple.
