Modified: October 29, 2014

On November 18, 2014, the Office of the Provost will host the Learning, Teaching and Assessment Forum: “Critical Reflections on Learning” at the Norris University Center from 8:30-2:30.

Presenters will share initiatives across a wide range of disciplines and contexts at the course, unit and school levels. Such topics include the assessment of learning and critical thinking in inquiry-based courses; the varied ways that technology can be used to enhance and assess learning; assessing learning through self-efficacy and emotional intelligence; the assessment of modular learning, and the assessment of academic advising and its relationship to student learning. Please see the complete schedule for all presentation titles and abstracts.

We are also pleased that Larry Hedges, Board of Trustees Professor of Statistics and Policy Research and Professor in the School of Education and Social Policy, will deliver the lunchtime keynote, Systematic Thinking about Learning Objectives and Assessment in Higher Education: Some History.
